Micky Papa began competing in major amateur contests in 2006 and eventually moved from Canada to California to pursue a pro career. Signing with Blind Skateboards in 2016 he quickly became recognized for nailing a Nollie 360 Flip Backside Tailslide Kickflip Out in a video published by Thrasher magazine. Within his first year with Blind, he took first place at a Damn Am Select Series event in Chicago and added second place finishes in Los Angeles and Costa Mesa. In 2021 he secured his spot in the Tokyo Olympics, finishing in the top 10.
